What Is Fragrance Free? Fragrance free is an unregulated term. Usually (and at this site), it means the product has no ingredients added solely to give it a fragrance.
All products have some odor from the base materials of the product. Especially if the product contains essential oils (for example, lavender), it may have a distinct floral, herbal, or citrus odor and still be labeled "fragrance free." Check the View Ingredients & Fragrance link for each product for this information.
From the label: "... a concentrated formula that leaves the delicate skin around the eye area smoothed, with fine lines less visible, puffiness and dark circles diminished. Roibos red tea extract helps prevent free redical damage, leaving softer, more youhful skin. Polypeptides and copper, zinc, and manganese gluconates help increase collagen production, while softening and replenishing moisture."
From the label: "...a light, oil-free, moisturizing gel that nurtures and protects the delicate eye contour from dehydration and signs of aging. Time-release formula combines powerful anti-oxidants, replenishing moisturizers, and organic botanicals to help neutralize sun and environmental damage for soft, smooth, youthful skin. Extra use: Beneficial for the backs of hands.” " If you have been using the original formulation, the new formulation is similar, but has additional good ingredients, most notably hyaluronic acid (sodium hyaluronate). It is also a thinner gel with slightly more stickiness, but if you use it at night, it's not an issue. This is good for entire face, not just eyes, and back of hands, too.
From the Avalon material: "Our Revitalizing Eye Cream nourishes delicate eye area with cocoa butter, organic sweet almond, borage and flax oils with vitamin C for optimal photo-aging protection plus lemon bioflavonoids, organic green tea and white tea to defend against damaging free radicals for smoother, younger looking eyes. pH balanced." No added fragrance.
From the label: "This premier cosmeceutical product is a revolutionary combination of combination of DMAE, Alpha Lipoic Acid PLUS active amino peptides, anti-oxidants, nutrients, enzymes, and carriers creating this powerful free radical neutralizer at a very affordable price. Promotes optimum efficiency for reduction of free radical formation in addition to the production of new cells. Face, eye area, neck appear firmer while the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles are minimized." Pump dispenser. No added fragrance; has essential oils, but they have almost no detectable scent.
From the label: "A powerful blend of rich and creamy moisturizing liposomes, humectants, aloe vera and Vitamin E that replenishes and conditions the skin overnight. In the evening, apply with light upward strokes to a thoroughly cleansed, toned and treated face." Very nice moisturizer for night or day. Has hyaluronic acid (excellent water-binder) in significant amount. No added fragrance; has essential oils (Helichrysm, Chamomile, Frankincense, Bois de Rose, and Sisymbrium), but they have almost no detectable scent.
Devita C Accelerator - 15% Topical Vitamin C Solution- 2 oz.
From the label: "Our premier product. Each day you are exposed to air pollution, sunlight, smoke and more, all [of] which create "free radicals" which cause chemical reactions, leaving your skin looking aged. These free radicals attack your skin's collagen layer, leaving you with fine lines and wrinkles. This process is called "photo aging." Caution! Avoid contact with lips and near eyes. This product has a very low pH, similar to that of an AHA product (Vitamin C is an acid, after all!). Be sure to avoid near eyes and on lips.
